The purpose of this section is to provide a Framework of the Conventions and Co-operation Agreements in force in the field of judicial co-operation in both civil and criminal matters governing relations between Italy and other states in these areas.

In the search criteria based on legal subject area the materials are divided up into the following categories:

for criminal matters, in four sectors: extradition, judicial assistance, the transfer of convicted offenders and other judicial co-operation activities;

for civil matters, three sectors: international judicial assistance, arbitration and recognition and enforcement of judgements.

Each of the above sectors refers to the list of Conventions and Agreements in force under the related subject area between Italy and other countries with an indication of the Official Gazette where they are published.

With the Country search criteria however, it is possible to use the interactive world map to display details of all bilateral Conventions and Agreements in force between Italy and the chosen country in relation to criminal law, broken down into subject areas.
